ELAC started up this year with much enthusiasm and we are so happy to be back together again.

Two new activities started this year and we are thrilled to have Maureen Poulton in our group who generously offered these.  Art with Maureen P started up with most of the now converted, a bit dubious as to whether any of us has any talent to produce a “masterpiece”. But after three months of classes and much encouragement from Maureen, we have a group of 12 who attend, thoroughly enjoying the simple steps that Maureen has taught us, thus producing our own “masterpiece”. Afternoon tea is also a special occasion.  Japanese theme, high tea or whatever Maureen feels like presenting.

Movies at Maureen’s is the second new activity. Settling in her home theatre with a bottle of water, Jaffa’s and an ice-cream we enjoy some of the old movies such as Gone with the Wind. The selection of movies seem unlimited and we enjoy the time together without having to travel anywhere.

Knit, Giggle and Sew continues to be popular as does the Lunch Girls who meet fortnightly for lunch at a different venue. We have been to Ballarat to look at the Begonias and the next trip will be to the Forest Glades garden at Macedon.
