Wodonga LAC

Wodonga Life Activities Club (WLAC) has had its activities severely curtailed this year, but our ethos of caring for each other remains strong and active.

Committee activities have entailed: Sandra compiling a weekly letter to keep members informed and engaged with the Club, rung members regularly to make sure all was well, Elizabeth conducted a very popular weekly Lucky Member Draw for vouchers to a local café or plant nursery, Heather called for recipes for a WLAC 2020 Cookbook and received plenty of tried and true recipes, with attributions to mothers, grandmothers and aunties. It has been well received and on its 2nd print run. The Club choir found singing outside in the sun a great way to go and nice to have an audience too. A most enjoyable lunch was held on the balcony of a local tavern and plans are in motion for the in-person AGM soon.

Border restrictions resulted in Albury members being isolated from the main group, so Leonie gathered them together for a coffee and chat.

We hope other clubs, especially those in Melbourne, are all enjoying new freedoms.
