Moonee Valley LAC

During the pandemic Moonee Valley LAC has been kept entertained by daily emails from myself, otherwise known as ‘El Presidente’. These could be either funny videos, jokes, or just newsletters containing interesting articles.

Our committee has been meeting via Zoom, and our ‘Blokes Beer and Banter’ has convened twice, again via Zoom.

We are a very social club and not being able to meet-up has been very hard. As the first wave was subsiding, we were planning an R&R down on the coast to support the bushfire victims but along came the second wave. We still hope to get down there in Mar/April.

El Presidente promised a big reunion party when we are allowed back into our meeting hall and we are going to hold him to that promise. Problem is we have to wait until big crowds (80+) are allowed to gather.

The photo above is from a bus trip last year to the Titanic Restaurant in Williamstown. We hope to do the same in 2021.

We got our first post pandemic newsletter out on the 1st December. What a relief. Many activities are still delayed, but dineout’s, MYKI and picnic’s in the park are all set to resume.
