When the first lockdown occurred all the members of our Book group were contacted by phone and/or email to assess their interest in online meetings.

Those who were not interested or able to use Zoom have been kept in touch with via circulation of written comments or reviews submitted by other members.

With the availability of books from libraries limited by the restrictions, those who had bought books were able to share their copies and at times enjoy a face to face conversation whilst delivering a book. Up to 9 of the 14 group members have been joining the monthly Zoom meetings and even those who may not have had a lot to say have enjoyed the opportunity to see and hear friendly faces.

Given that the size of face-to-face meetings may be limited for some time to come, we will consider continuing to use the Zoom option into 2021 for those who may feel more comfortable with it.
