Club News Round-up: Moonee Valley LAC
Moonee Valley Life Activities Club had a very busy start to the year. We had a picnic in the park on New Year’s day, where 12 members enjoyed the chat and chew.
The picture below shows a group of us on our midweek R & R in Benalla in early March. We had 22 members attend. Part of the stay included a bus trip around the area looking at all the Silo Art. This also included a lovely lunch at a local pub. Most members caught the train to Benalla using their free V/line pass. Others drove and enjoyed more of the scenery, whilst others visited family in the area.
The picture above is our breakout gathering. When it was announced that we could have 5 friends around one member decided to have some club friends around. We have also had our first committee meeting since isolation. Some members could not do a Zoom meeting so we had it in a local park on the banks of the Maribyrnong River. It was a little chilly, but everyone was very happy to be outside.
Our normal activities will restart in June, when more restrictions are removed, and we will re-activate other activities when able.
