BBLAC Cycling Group

New bikes, old bikes, racing bikes and ebikes; our cycling group welcomes anyone who would like to ride with us. Our leaders are happy to assist you to upgrade your skills and safety knowledge.

Whether you opt for our weekly, leisurely coffee ride from the Brighton Baths to St Kilda Beach, our monthly ride to have lunch at Southgate or our longer Sunday and Tuesday rides, we can assure you of an exciting and interesting time. With overnight or longer trips to places such as Warburton, Wonthaggi and Bright, there is also the opportunity to explore Victoria on the myriad of rail trails and bike paths and the open road.

In 2017, we pedalled our way to many and varied destinations including, Poynton’s Nursery, Moonee Ponds, Craft and Co Farm, Bangholme, Art by the Sea, Mordialloc, Johnson Collection, East Melbourne, Heide Gallery, Bulleen, Coolart Homestead and Wetlands, Hindu Temple, Carrum, Mornington Steam Train, Barwon River Geelong Cranbourne Botanic Gardens Fairfield Boat House, A1 Bakery Dandenong, Werribee River and to Portarlington on the ferry.

The fitter cyclists tested their prowess on the Around the Bay in Six Days activity, enjoying a variety of rail trails, bicycle paths and roads as they rode round Port Phillip Bay.

As always, every trip was one of enjoyment and conviviality and in 2018, our leaders have planned even more exciting cycling adventures. Why not join us, enhance your fitness, make new friends and enjoy the pleasure being on your bike?
