Anecdotal evidence says that yes indeed it is. New LAC members can help researchers from Victoria University gathering data to demonstrate this scientifically by participating in a collaborative study between LACVI and VU.
Participation involves completing a 30 minute survey about your health and wellbeing and reasons for joining LAC. The same survey will then be done after 6 months and 12 months and it can be done online or in hard copy. All participants will receive a $10 gift voucher when they sign up for the study and will go into a prize draw after completion of each survey.

The ABC Study is looking for Australian residents aged between 40-74 years, who have never had cancer, other than non-melanoma skin cancer. It will investigate the role that our genes, lifestyle and environment play in the development of cancer and other disease. Researchers are particularly interested in hearing from people who have a family history of cancer. To register or learn more, visit: www.abcstudy.com.au or contact the Study Team on 1800 688 419.
