Representatives from key community organisations from across the City of Port Phillip were guests at a cocktail party hosted by the Port Phillip Life Activities Club on Thursday night. The flavour of the event was cross-cultural and that theme extended to the delicious finger food provided by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre Catering. The club’s totally inclusive approach is inspired by Minister for Housing, Disability and Ageing and Minister for Equality, Mr Martin Foley’s, drive to support healthier whole communities. Like Minister Foley, LACVI and its member clubs believe that engaging in a variety of social interaction is an important social determinant of better health outcomes. The event was aided by a stimulus grant from LACVI.
