I had retired from a very busy job and I was a bit concerned that I would have nothing to do. I met a lady walking and she invited me to come along for a trial and I have been in the Club for ten years now. Always something offered that I would like to join in with but most of all it's the friendships I have made. I now belong to a very large family that I really care for and who also care for me. Never lonely.

Life Activities has made me aware that people from various lifestyles can happily unite together and enjoy each other’s company while attending activities and outings within our club. Many friendships have been formed amongst members, including myself since joining Casey/Cardinia Life Activities Club 16 years ago.

I joined Moonee Valley Life Activities Club nearly 10 years ago when I was looking for social activities with people of my own age. I found that in abundance within the Life Activities group. Not only can I go to activities with MVLAC, but through our connection with LACVI, I can go to any activities being run by any of the other clubs in Victoria. All this for a small annual membership cost.

Moving from South Australia and starting a new life was always going to be difficult. However, I found Mornington Life Activities Club. People with common interests and an opportunity for me to continue in an administration role, which has always been one of my strengths. I started a Walking Group within our club that has created friendships with 25 people. I’ve dined in restaurants and experienced different cultural and social events. I’m very encouraged about our club and the future of LACVI.
